HOT HOT HOT: Lures of the Week
Campground Tubes at Riverfront Campground—just received a new, hot, teaser tube called “Basscrack,” Paired with a 1.8th ounce RAB jighead and bass can’t leave it alone, Order at 717-877-2704. Ask about other colors and sizes too.
The Case Plastics and Zipper Worms from Fishing Complete are baits I just do without. The Magic Stik, Magic Swim, Pintail, Zipper Worms and grubs are go-tos for all bass. Use my discount code ( KenP20)
Big Mouth spinnerbaits and vibrating jigs,.
Buzzbaits and Frogs.

Don’t know what I caught but I’ve been pretty sick all week. I’m also experiencing issues with my cell and internet. If you are having trouble reaching me—try again
<>
SUSQUEHANNA & JUNIATA RIVERs IN PA: **1/2; 80ish; clear with color in areas; 4.8 at Harrisburg steady; 4.2 on the Juniata at Newport-steady.
Enough water to get around pretty well but low enough to cost you money too. Bass fishing has been very good and topwater. Spinnerbaits and Campground tubes are no brainers. Zak Marinkov has been delighting clients with steady action all week and his date with a well know outdoor writer was a home run. His client Troy Grubb qualified for LOU Fish of the Week and both numbers and quality have been excellent Reach Zak at 717-507-5053, He is fishing areas between Montgomery Ferry and Rockville.
UPPER POTOMAC RIVER: **1/2; 80 ish; some color; 1.6 at Point of Rocks
The flow is still low and slow so getting around requires caution and good sence. Consider float trips but there is enough water at Seneca, Whites Ferry, Lander and Brunswick to motor about CAREFULLY. Long casts with Case Magic Swims, Whopper Ploppers and Campground Tubes are productive.
TIDAL POTOMAC RIVER: ** in most areas but *** in some; 80+; some trib color and algae is prevalent.
The “Dog Days” are upon us so look for cleaner grass and more current.
In the DC area small crankbaits to rip rap along the Navy shoreline; Campground tubes on Railroad piers; Big Mouth spinnerbaits at the Kennedy Center and Washington Channel drop-offs and wood and rocks at Fox Ferry Point
The “wedge” shaped cove (Charlies Cove) just south of Belle Haven coves along with docks in Broad Creek have been pretty consistent. Penrod Cove and Smoot Bay have plenty of bass but also plenty of food so be patient.
Pohick Bay wood and Pomonkey Creek vegetation is spinnerbait heaven no and the bonus is big, fat snakeheads.
I’m a big fan of the upper Mattawoman with flukes and Big Shakeys but toss your frog to the thick stuff.
