A wonderful; week of fishing and the weather was magnificent. The river is getting quite low and that will alter where we can go. Bass are spawning and our numbers are 50-125. See the above “Hot Hot Hot” for lure selection.
Captain Dave Kerrigan reports very similar information with a “heads up” to search for bass in currents with jerk baits also.
TIDAL POTOMAC RIVER; ****; Water temps near 70; spawning
From DC to Aquia largemouth bass are shallow and spawning activity is strong. It looks like a good year for SAV also so find some and milk it.
UPPER POTOMAC RIVER: ***; 70s, clear, 2.4 at Point of Rocks and steady
All three of our basic destinations receive an “A” and kits been years since I could do that. I’m pointing out Lander, Brunswick and Edwards Ferry but you can’t go wrong unless you just don’t go.
