SUSUEHANNA & JUNIATA RIVERS, PA: ***; 70ish; some color west side; 4.7 at Harrisburg and 5.2 at Newport
Guide Zak Marinkov reports (717-447-2206): This past week offered some excellent fishing with post spawn fish in the current eager to feed. The west shore had some nice color to it and big fish ate spinnerbaits, chatterbaits and crankbaits with consistency. The topwater action is hit or miss but if you locate the submerged water willow beds you can count on some fish laying on the downstream edges.

Don’t forget to book your summer trips—either half day AM or PM.
Father’s Day is coming up and wouldn’t he like a Gift Certificate for trophy smallmouth fishing?

LOOKING FOR HELP: I’m in need of a new jet lower unit for my 115 Yamaha. If anyone has one for sale or a new 115 or 150 jet, let me know.

TIDAL POTOMAC RIVER: *1/2; mid 70s; clear with traffic stain
It’s been a lot of years since I’ve given such a poor value to this river especially in MAY, but it’s been tougher than tough. I actually postponed some trips this week because of it. I’m guessing post spawn but even with that—it shouldn’t be so fickle.
Between DC and Po money Creek we still do best in the WWB vicinity with Case Magic Stiks and Campground tubes.
UPPER POTOMAC RIVER: **1/2; little color; 70ish;3 feet at Point of Rocks
Jason Penrod and Jay George report better than normal results between Seneca and Lander—and some nice bass to boot.
Case Magic Swims,.tubes, cranks and Big Mouth spinnerbaits.
NANTICOKE RIVER: * ½; low 70s; pretty dirty, post spawn syndrome.
Captain Brian Barnes fished here last week with results similar to my Potomac report.
This too will settle down. Keep at it.
