A beautiful week but for strong winds on Friday and heavy rains on Sunday. Water temps everywhere we fish are 50 degrees or better and fish are chewing pretty well. There is some spawning activity. Bass bodies are perfect and quite fat, I’m in Duncannon, PA and will be until the end of April—I hope. Restaurants are open and grocery stores are well stocked. River conditions can’t be much better although we have had rain.

SUSQUEHANNA & JUNIATA RIVERS, PA:;***; 54 degrees +-; East side stained-otherwise clean; 6,2 at the Harrisburg gauge-steady; 5.1 on the Juniata at Newport.
I can’t remember a nicer late-March week than this one. The rivers are perfect and full moon spawning is enhanced by 55 degree water temps.
Smallmouth bass are fat and sassy and eating Campground tubes, crankbaits and jerk baits. Forget those eddies and work current near current breaks.
Captain Dave Kerrigan has found willing bass at many main river haunts this week and he recommends Campground tubes.
UPPER POTOMAC RIVER: *; Mid-50s, clear; 3-feet at Point of Rocks gauge bumping-up to 3.7 by Wednesday.
The full moon and above-average water temps have bass in spawn-mode. Fish current breaks, shoreline eddies and ledges at Whites Ferry, Lander and Brunswick. Wacky rigged Case Magic Stiks, Campground Tubes and DT4 crankbaits in crawfish or perch pattern.
TIDAL POTOMAC RIVER;**1/2;upper 50s; good color
Tie on a rattling lure; Big Shaky, Campground tube and Case Magic Stik and fish grassy cover on main river coves, Piscataway, Mattawoman and Chickamuxen Creeks. The full moon and warm water has bass in spawn mode and easy to catch.
