Captain Dave Kerrigan has been guiding in the Mid-Atlantic region for Life Outdoors Unlimited since 1998. He currently focuses on the Potomac River – both tidal and upper portions and the Susquehanna River in the Harrisburg PA vicinity. Dave grew up fishing these waters and has extensive knowledge of the many great opportunities right on our doorstep. He is licensed by the US Coast Guard for charter service and also belongs to many outdoor associations like MSSA, IWLA, NRA, and FFA.

His guide vessels include a Ranger Z21, Sea Ark ProJet 20, and a Regulator 32FS which he uses to pursue offshore and inshore species like Tuna, Mahi, Marlin, Shark, Bluefish, Flounder, Rockfish, and Tilefish out of OCMD. He is well versed in many different fishing styles and techniques include spin and bait casting, chumming, chunking, trolling (including the use of side planners and downriggers), jigging, and deep dropping (offshore).
One of Captain Dave’s very favorite guide trips he offers is the DC Slam. This outing includes great sights along with great fishing! While surrounded by the majesty and history of our nation’s capital his clients will attempt to catch “the Slam” which consists of a smallmouth, largemouth, rockfish, and catfish. If the day is right and the luck is with you a grand slam is possible with the addition of a walleye. And don’t forget the toothy Snakehead can be lurking anywhere we cast!
Dave currently lives in Centreville VA with his wife Sarah. Having raised four sons he is well prepared to teach other youngsters the joys of fishing and being outdoors.
